Mujer Verde

Another colorful character. We’ve had White, and Blue, and now it’s time to meet the Green Lady – or Mujer Verde in Spanish.

For those who appreciate Chartreuse.

I stumbled upon this cocktail, the Mujer Verde, in Difford’s Guide. Interestingly, Difford unearthed it at Absinthe in San Francisco, even though its roots trace back to Guadalajara. It’s a fascinating testament to globalization – a Chartreuse cocktail with Mexican flair.

Ingredients:
1 oz / 30 ml Dry Gin
1/2 oz / 15 ml Green Chartreuse
1/2 oz / 15 ml Yellow Chartreuse
1/2 oz / 15 ml Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 oz / 7.5 ml Simple Syrup

Process:
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass.

Garnish – lime zest twist

Drinkware:
Cocktail glass
