As All Saint’s Eve draws near, the time for a spine-tingling Halloween cocktail is upon us. Spiders, creatures with long-standing connections to witchcraft, embody the eerie essence of this celebration. They weave intricate, gossamer nets during this autumn season, setting the stage for the drink known as the Spider’s Net.
This chilling concoction boasts a bold and invigorating flavor that dances in perfect harmony with a crisp, sun-kissed autumn day. Originally crafted by E. Angerosa, I’ve added my personal touch by substituting bourbon with the Irish whiskey and exchanging apricot liqueur for the apricot brandy.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz / 45 ml Irish Whiskey
2/3 oz / 20 ml Apricot Brandy
1/3 oz / 10 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
1/3 oz / 10 ml Fresh Orange Juice
3 dash Angostura Orange Bitters
Process:
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
Drinkware:
Cocktail glass
Raise a glass of Spider’s Net and have a spooktacular Halloween!
