As the holiday season approaches, I embarked on a quest to find the perfect, seasonally inspired cocktail, and that’s when I stumbled upon the Ornamentini. Not only is this cocktail rich in flavor, but its unique and decorative presentation makes it a star at any celebration.
What truly sets the Ornamentini apart is its stunning serving method. The cocktail is carefully poured into clear glass or plastic ornaments, creating a mesmerizing visual effect. These plastic ornaments, readily available at craft stores like Michaels or online, are perfect for this purpose.
As you prepare to indulge, the magic begins. You gently pour the cocktail from the ornament into your glass just before savoring each sip, adding a delightful layer of anticipation to your festive moments. I came across this creative idea from this inventive source.
To craft two cocktails, here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients:
120 ml / 1/2 cup vodka
60 ml / 1/4 cup orange triple sec liqueur
60 ml / 1/4 cup cherry juice
30 ml/ 1/8 cup cranberry juice
30 ml / 1/8 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed with pulp removed
Make sure to use 100% pure cherry and cranberry juices for the most authentic flavor.
Process:
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker over ice and shake gently. Using funnel pour mix into clear ornaments. Add several sugared cranberries into the cocktail glass, set the ornament with the drink atop. Decorate with rosemary.

Sugared cranberry:
Combine ½ cup of sugar with ½ cup of water in a medium saucepan. Stir over medium heat until it dissolves. Remove from heat, add cranberries (such amount of syrup is enough for about 300 g/ regular pack of berry, but do everything in small batches), and stir them to coat with syrup completely. Transfer cranberries to wire rack and give them dry at least for one hour.
Add another ½ cup of sugar into the flat palate, cover carberries with sugar and let them dry again on the wire rack.
Keep sugared berries in the open box at room temperature.
